Promarksvac Corporation manufactures a complete line of Brine Injectors from our value priced MSK-16 to our impressive MSK-198. All of these units feature all stainless steel housings and high quality European brine pumps.

The MSK-16 features simple to use analog controls and a composite conveyor belt for product movement. The needle force on this unit is supplied by a time tested spring system.

The MSK-32 through the MSK-56 offer an advanced PLC control system as well as a sturdy all stainless steel walking beam system for product movement through the unit. These units also feature an air pressure controlled needle head system. This system allows for processing both boneless as well as bone in product with a simple adjustment in the air pressure settings instead of changing out head springs. These units also feature unique air powered needle cleaning fixture.

The MSK-98 and the MSK-198 boast a robust hydraulic power system that handles both needle head movement as well as driving the product feed conveyor. These units share the same advanced PLC control system and needle cleaning fixture as the MSK-32 and MSK-56

If your processing operation includes brine injection, then you owe it to yourself to take a look at the Promarksvac MSK Series. We think you will agree that they represent the best overall value to be found in the industry.

1. What is the MSK-98 Brine Injector used for?

The MSK-98 is an industrial brine injecting machine used to inject marinade or brine into:

  • Beef
  • Poultry
  • Pork
  • Seafood

It improves flavor, tenderness, and product weight yield while ensuring uniform distribution of brine.

2. What are the key features of the MSK-98?

The MSK-98 includes:

  • Hydraulic step-feed system for precise movement
  • Adjustable injection pressure, speed, and spacing
  • Advanced air head design for bone-in & boneless products
  • Three-stage filtration system to prevent clogging
  • Brine tank with agitator for consistent mixing
  • Pneumatic needle cleaning system

These features ensure consistent injection performance and easy maintenance.

3. What are the technical specifications of the MSK-98?

Key specifications include:

  • Needles: 98
  • Injection speed: 15–56 cycles/min
  • Injection rate: ≥140 / ≥180
  • Power: 220V, 60Hz
  • Pressure: 0.2 – 0.5 MPa

These specs make it suitable for medium to high-volume production.

4. Can the injection settings be customized?

Yes. The MSK-98 allows full control over:

  • Injection pressure
  • Injection frequency
  • Injection time
  • Belt speed
  • Needle position
  • Step distance

Operators can store up to 30 different programs for different products.

5. What types of brine can be used?

The brine must be:

  • Free from solid particles or fibers
  • Free from ingredients that damage stainless steel or Teflon
  • Properly filtered

Using improper brine can cause needle blockage or pump damage.

6. What should be checked before starting the machine?

Before startup, ensure:

  • All doors and safety covers are closed
  • Brine level is above pump inlet
  • Brine is clean and free of debris

Running the machine with low brine level can damage the pump.

7. Does the MSK-98 have safety features?

Yes, it includes:

  • Door safety interlock system (machine won’t run if open)
  • PLC monitoring system
  • Emergency stop
  • Safety bypass (password protected for maintenance only)

These features protect both operator and machine.

8. How does the machine operate?

The MSK-98 works in two main modes:

Auto Mode

  • Fully automatic injection process
  • Uses preset parameters
  • Continuous production

Manual Mode

  • Control individual functions like:
    • Needle up/down
    • Belt movement
    • Brine pump
    • Mixing motor

This allows flexibility during setup and maintenance.

9. How often should the machine be cleaned?

Cleaning should be done:

  • After every production shift
  • By running clean water through the system
  • By cleaning:
    • Brine pipes
    • Needles
    • Housing
    • Filters

Proper cleaning prevents contamination and clogging.

10. How are the needles cleaned?

Needle cleaning process:

  1. Remove needles from head
  2. Insert into needle cleaner
  3. Use air cleaning system to remove residue
  4. Apply food-grade lubricant
  5. Reinstall properly

Never run the machine without proper needle lubrication.

11. What maintenance is required?

Regular maintenance includes:

  • Daily visual inspection for wear or damage
  • Cleaning after each shift
  • Keeping brine filters clean
  • Lubricating moving parts
  • Oil reducer after:
    • First 100 hours
    • Every 2500 hours thereafter

This ensures long machine life and consistent performance.

12. Why is brine not coming out of the needles?

Possible reasons:

  • Brine pump jam
  • Needle blockage
  • Motor issue

Solutions:

  • Clean pump and filters
  • Blow out or replace needles
  • Check electrical connections

13. Why is injection output low?

Common causes:

  • Low pressure
  • Blocked needles or pump
  • Improper settings

Solution:

  • Clean system
  • Adjust pressure and discharge settings

14. Why is there leakage in the machine?

Possible issues:

  • Damaged needle tubes
  • Worn sealing rings (O-rings)

Solution:

  • Replace damaged parts
  • Inspect sealing components regularly

15. What causes noise in the pressure valve?

Noise occurs when:

  • Pressure is in an unstable (jolting) range

Solution:

  • Adjust pressure to stable operating range

16. Can the MSK-98 handle high production?

Yes. With:

  • 98 needles
  • Adjustable injection speed
  • Automated feeding system

It is designed for medium to large-scale meat processing operations.

17. What happens if safety doors are opened?

  • Machine will automatically stop
  • PLC system prevents operation
  • Must reset system after closing doors

Safety interlock ensures operator protection.

18. How important is filtration in this machine?

Very important.

The MSK-98 uses:

  • Multi-stage filtration system
  • Brine agitator

This prevents:

  • Needle clogging
  • Pump damage
  • Uneven injection

19. What are the common operator mistakes to avoid?

  • Using unfiltered brine
  • Running machine with low brine level
  • Skipping cleaning cycles
  • Not lubricating needles
  • Operating with safety bypass ON

These can lead to machine damage or poor performance.
